Since as long as she can remember, Tanya has been enamored with the written word and its ability to inform and influence. She grew up putting her pen to paper, and later, her fingers to keyboard, articulating diverse subject matter through new and evolving mediums. From her days in journalism school to her time spent communicating complex issues at the state level, she’s developed a knack for accuracy and clarity to complement that passion. And when compelling content meets sharp design? That’s her happy place.
Tanya is right at home in her role at PSC, where she manages communications and marketing for Michigan Saves, a PSC-managed nonprofit that is dedicated to making energy improvements easy and affordable for the state’s energy consumers. While her team members are hard at work continually improving the program’s efficiency and growth, Tanya finds new ways to promote and advance the Michigan Saves brand. Depending on the day, you might find her writing copy, crafting social media posts, or strategizing the next best way to reach key audiences.
Tanya joins PSC from state government, where she managed communications and media relations on a host of issues. Most recently, she served as deputy press secretary to Gov. Rick Snyder and prior to that, was a spokesperson for Michigan’s licensing and regulatory department.
