With a nickname like “motor mouth,” it’s not surprising that Lateshia has spent most of her career cultivating the art of communication. Always equipped with a camera, a natural curiosity about the world, and a deep appreciation for her community, she revels in conveying and celebrating the stories of others, especially when those stories have the power to unite people and provoke thoughtful change. It’s this philosophy that underpins and informs Lateshia’s approach to her work.

Lateshia’s love for storytelling fits right in at Public Sector Consultants (PSC), where she serves as the director of marketing and communications for Michigan Saves—a multimillion-dollar nonprofit organization that assists residents across the state in securing financing solutions for energy updates to their home or business. While her team members are hard at work improving the program’s efficiency and growth, Lateshia finds new ways to promote and advance the Michigan Saves brand. Depending on the day, she may be crafting compelling narratives, writing social media posts, or strategizing the next best way to reach target audiences.

Prior to joining PSC, Lateshia worked in the nonprofit sector in various marketing and communication roles. During this time, she worked on a diversity of issues, including raising awareness of HIV/AIDS, improving transportation safety, fighting for advancements in ovarian cancer research, and helping girls at risk of homelessness and exploitation.
