Rebeccah is an adventurer at heart, driven by an endless curiosity about people and the world. As a child, she would boldly approach strangers with, “My name is Rebeccah, what’s yours?,” sparking connections wherever she went. This natural curiosity led to a wide array of work, including surveying monkey populations in the cloud forests of southern Mexico, reconstructing ancient cultures through bioarcheology, and working as a photographer in southern Italy. These experiences taught her that every community has its own unique strengths and challenges—assets upon which to build true, meaningful change.
At PSC, Rebeccah is executive director of the Clean Energy Jobs and Justice Fund (CEJJF), a nonprofit green bank in Illinois. She is fiercely committed to making sure that everyone has a stake in shaping a just and sustainable future and channels this commitment into action, ensuring that the transition to renewable energy in Illinois is inclusive and community driven through collaboration, partnership, and elevating the voices that most need to be heard. She works to uplift community voice, foster green job opportunities, and support clean energy and efficiency projects led by those on the front lines of climate change.
Rebeccah brings a diverse background to PSC and CEJJF with experience across the arts, civic, and environmental sectors. Her leadership roles include serving as the inaugural executive director of the Chicago Cultural Alliance to strengthen the city’s vibrant cultural communities, and, as the Chief Field and Strategy Officer of the National Audubon Society, where she launched the Great Lakes program and oversaw conservation and climate initiatives across 39 states.
