Public Sector Consultants (PSC) is pleased to announce that Selma Tucker has joined the firm as the new director of marketing and communications and Katie Van Dorn comes as a health policy consultant.
As director of marketing and communications, Selma will support PSC’s marketing efforts and lead outreach and communications activities for three of PSC’s largest projects: the Great Lakes Fishery Trust, the Great Lakes Stewardship Initiative, and Michigan Saves. Before coming to PSC, Selma led a multimillion dollar initiative that developed creative strategies and incentives to encourage more than two thousand homeowners to make energy efficiency improvements in the City of Grand Rapids and surrounding communities.
“This is a really exciting time for PSC that’s full of change,” said Julie Metty Bennett, Senior Vice President. “With the move this summer to our new office and the numerous groundbreaking projects we are working on in the areas of energy efficiency, natural resource management, and environmental education, Selma’s community relations background, his energy experience, and his personal enthusiasm are great additions to our firm and the work we do.”
Katie joins PSC as a consultant for health policy. She will be working on projects in mental health, health insurance, and hospital strategic planning, among others. Prior to joining PSC, Katie worked for more than five years at the Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham Counties.
“Katie is coming to the health division at an opportune time,” says Peter Pratt, President. “With the increased demand for community health needs assessments and the desire for strategic counsel on the massive policy changes stemming from the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, it is great to have Katie’s knowledge and experience.”
