As a child, Michelle’s favorite activity was going to the local public library and checking out as many books as she could carry home. She waited all year for the Scholastic Book Fair, begging her parents to buy her new books, and took pride in successfully completing her hometown library’s summer reading challenges. Stemming from her life-long love of reading, Michelle remains on a continued quest for knowledge and harnesses an innate curiosity about our world and people’s stories (whether fictional or not)!

As a senior consultant at PSC, Michelle draws on this curiosity to ask the right questions and dig into the big issues. She supports client projects across our state’s most pressing community and economic development challenges. She conducts, translates, and analyzes public policy research, primarily at the intersection of economic development and community resilience, such as affordable and equitable housing, transportation, entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems, and workforce development strategies. She connects clients with relevant information and offers potential solutions while always remaining curious and valuing different perspectives.

Michelle came to PSC after a decade of experience working in roles in the local government and nonprofit sectors aimed at supporting and strengthening communities. Most recently, she served as a senior program officer of economic development at Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), where she managed a suite of community-centered economic development programs in Detroit.
