PSC adds new Governance and Regulation division
LANSING ̶ Public Sector Consultants today announced Vice President Emily Houk as the head of its new Governance and Regulation division. Houk will consult with clients regarding state and federal regulatory structures and organizational governance models.
“This is an exciting opportunity to expand the work of the firm in this area” said Houk. “This is a time of unprecedented change in government. I’m honored to be asked to lead the division.”
The Governance and Regulation division will provide research and strategic counsel to clients and assist them in developing partnerships, managing coalitions, and engaging in consensus-building efforts.
“We help clients articulate complex problems and help them take the first step toward resolving them. Emily is a skilled communicator and facilitator and we see her as a natural fit for this type of work. We see much opportunity in public and private sector governance and regulation work that will be integral to PSC’s growth,” said Public Sector Consultants CEO Jeff Williams.
As a vice president, Houk has directed major projects of the firm in education and economic development and manages evaluation, research, and technical consulting projects. “Emily’s extensive background working with the state and federal government, the legislature, and trade associations made her the clear choice to lead the division and secure projects in this arena,” said PSC President Peter Pratt. “Her expertise is of great value to the firm and our clients as we work on issues affecting Michigan and the Great Lakes states.”
