For the past four years we have collaborated with the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan (NKFM) on the Mo Hood III Initiative, an impactful public health approach focused on chronic kidney disease prevention and COVID-19 complications. PSC facilitates the statewide strategy and advisory committee for the program, bringing together healthcare experts, community advocates, policymakers and people directly impacted by these illnesses.
With support from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and PSC, NKFM published The Chronic Kidney Disease Prevention Strategy in Michigan: 2021–2026. This strategy document emphasizes the need for collaboration across healthcare, government, and communities to address—and ultimately end—CKD.
