Oakland County Food Landscape Study

January 30, 2026

Exploring and Improving Access to Food, Food Security, and Supportive Programming for Oakland County Residents

Oakland County Health and Human Services engaged Public Sector Consultants to develop a baseline of food needs and services across the county. PSC used publicly available data to create this baseline and gathered additional data to inform recommendations from the project’s community coalition. The goal is to use the outcomes of this project to not only assess the county’s food environment—exploring access to food, food security, and programs that serve residents with food insecurity—but to implement future programs and services where they are needed most.
