Growing up on her family farm in rural Michigan, Misty’s passion for a good story took root alongside the soybeans and cornstalks. Her knack for captivating audiences began on her grandpa’s tractor, where she would ride along with him and make up tall tales about haunted houses and adventuresome children. As she grew older, Misty realized her small town wasn’t quite big enough for her story, so she set out for city life in pursuit of the next chapter. While jet setting the globe and living abroad, Misty developed a deep appreciation for other people’s stories, especially how they can shape the communities around us and foster a sense of unity.

That young storyteller evolved into a critical-thinking communications strategist who knows how and when to hit just the right message. As PSC’s director of marketing and communications, Misty is always on the hunt for the next brilliant idea or story. In her role, she develops innovative strategies for the firm and its clients, promotes the PSC brand, oversees complex projects and events, and provides mentorship and support to her talented team members.

Misty comes to PSC from state government, where her award-winning work for the Michigan State Housing Development Authority reached hundreds of thousands of people. There, she crafted messages and managed print and digital media for maximum reach and understanding of vital information.

Why Michigan? The ability to enjoy spring showers, summer sun, fall leaves, and then hibernating during the frosty winter.
