PSC Strengthens Energy and Environment Practice with New Vice President Maggie Pallone

LANSING, Mich. — Public Sector Consultants (PSC), Michigan’s premier public policy research and consulting firm, announces the addition of a new vice president, Maggie Pallone. Pallone will serve as executive staff leading the firm’s energy and environment practice with senior vice president Julie Metty Bennett.

Vice president Mark Coscarelli, who has co-led the energy and environment team since 2008, will transition to a new role as senior policy fellow beginning Jan. 1, 2018. He will continue to manage key projects and provide his expertise to PSC.

“Having Maggie on board is a great asset for the firm and our clients, given her broad experience in environmental policy and ability to forge consensus with diverse stakeholders,” Bennett said. “With both Maggie and Mark on the team, PSC will continue to have the best energy and environment policy practice in the state.”

Prior to joining PSC, Pallone was deputy director for the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality. There, she implemented the department’s vision by engaging external stakeholders, including industry, local governments and advocacy organizations. She also managed several tactical departments within the agency, dealing with policy, communications, marketing and media relations, as well as the Public Affairs and Outreach Office, which provides training and regulatory services to over 5,000 individuals and companies annually.

“Energy and environment is the firm’s largest practice, and Maggie’s insight and content expertise is new capacity that the leadership table needs,” said Coscarelli. “Her knowledge and experience, as well as her thoughtful approach to problem solving, will enhance PSC’s mission and services to clients.”

Coscarelli has been with PSC since 2001 and will continue to work with clients and provide leadership as the firm’s energy and environment practice grows.
