Logan Gunning

Program Manager, Indiana Energy Independence Fund

Growing up in rural Indiana, where cornfields outnumber people and names like James Dean, John Mellencamp, and Larry Bird are considered royalty, Logan knew from an early age that he wanted his work to matter close to home. After spending time abroad, he returned to Indiana with a clear sense of that commitment and an all-too-familiar understanding of how unevenly investment reaches communities, including the businesses, organizations, and residents within them. These perspectives now guide and motivate his efforts to expand equitable access to clean energy financing throughout the Hoosier State.

Logan is a program manager with the Indiana Energy Independence Fund (IEIF), where he helps manage statewide lending programs that expand access to renewable energy and energy efficiency investments. He works with local governments, businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations to build out a pipeline of financeable projects. Logan also coordinates with lenders and technical partners to prepare projects for financing, helping deliver clean energy benefits and long-term cost savings for Hoosiers.

Prior to his role with IEIF, Logan worked in renewable energy project development, supporting community-scale solar and wind projects. His earlier experience also includes consulting on public sector reform with the United Nations Development Programme, organizing voter education campaigns, and teaching at a secondary school in Spain.
