Kevin Bain

Chief Financial Officer

Balancing in a handstand on a concrete platform 33 feet above the water, Kevin knew precisely what movements to execute to successfully complete the series of flips and twists before entering the water without a splash. As a Division 1 platform diver at the University of Michigan and four-time Big Ten champion, Kevin mastered the art of performing difficult feats under pressure. As a collegiate athlete, he learned that hard tasks require an even harder work ethic and diligent preparation, and applies the same level of tenacity to his career in finance and public service.

Kevin’s role at PSC blends financial leadership with strategic oversight of green banks and other finance-related projects. He is responsible for ensuring the financial health and sustainability of PSC while also overseeing the deployment, management and impact of capital through the green bank entities the firm supports nationwide.

Kevin started his career as an investment banker on Wall Street. After receiving his Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, he joined the World Bank working on climate finance across five continents. He joined PSC after four years as Director of Strategy in the City of Detroit’s finance department.
