Jeff Williams, CEO of Public Sector Consultants, plans to leave the Lansing-based public policy research and management firm by fall, selling his stake in the company to its first female owners.

Public Sector Consultants’ senior vice presidents Julie Metty Bennett and Rachel Kuntzsch will become CEO and president, respectively, of the 52-employee firm that specializes in white paper public policy research projects for businesses, foundations and governments, Williams said.

Williams, 47, has been with PSC since he was a 19-year-old student at the James Madison College at Michigan State University, starting as a part-time intern and working his way up to becoming a partner in the firm and CEO for the past eight years. He’s the last employee of the firm who worked under PSC’s founder Gerald Faverman, who started the company 40 years ago this year.
